- Introduction- Plan for the Day and Layout of Canal Street Studio
- Demonstration- Tools and Materials, Techniques
- Mark Making and Composition
- How to Transfer your design onto the lino plate.
- Cutting your design
- If the Oatcake Shop is open- Sampling the delights of our local delicacy (included)
- Inking up the lino plate
- How to line up and register your print , using the Press /Baren/even a wooden spoon
- Pulling the Print and using the drying rack
- Eat ,Sleep. Repeat
- Cleaning up , we will be using water based ink , so not so much scrubbing and rubbing
- How did we do?
- Artists Gallery from the workshop, Any queries
- Collect Prints- With water based ink the drying time will be shorter for taking prints home
- If last minute prints are still tacky . there will be tissue paper to protect prints
- Handouts of the Day- Tips and techniques & Suppliers to take away
Plentiful images are provided for you to use as inspiration or templates. You are also very welcome to bring your own preparatory material. If you have your own preferred lino tools or printing papers, do bring them with you too.
Please wear appropriate studio clothes, overalls or aprons. Tea, coffee and refreshments are available.
